BIOGRAPHY

Icaro Kosak is an artist whose career encompasses photography, textile design and interior decoration. 

Born in Rome, he trained as a fashion designer in the atelier of his mother, Boža Košak. He went on to study art history in Tübingen, Munich and Rome.

From 1976 to 1980 he was assistant in Paris to Guy Bourdin, before launching his own career as a fashion photographer, in Paris and New York, working for Elle, Vogue and Linea Italiana among others.

In 1982, he turned his attention to textile design, working in New York and Milan, with fashion designers and clients including Etro, Ferrè, Agnona and other companies.

On moving to the UK in 1985, he began to use his knowledge as a specialist decorator and colour adviser in homes around the country working for various celebrity clients as well as the owners of several stately homes.  

Throughout his career, he has continued to work as a photographer, taking portraits, landscapes and studies.  He is currently using all his experience to create new abstract works his camera like a paint brush bringing all his experience to create new abstract works in a digital format, treating the camera like a paintbrush to produce his images
